Hobbit Feet

I actually posted this weekend, so be sure to read on below this post....

--------------------------------------------------
{***WARNING!!! GROSS TOPIC AHEAD
: The following post pertains to a subject matter that may seriously gross you out [FEET]. It grossed me out, but I am feeling pretty feisty and bold today, so I thought I’d share. AND, Its my Blog….:P For those of you who have problem with the subject of feet, you may want to skip this post. For the brave and the curious, read on… remember, you were warned…..***}
---------------------------------------------------

When you love someone - you'll do anything; you'll do all the crazy things that you can't explain; you'll shoot the moon - put out the sun…
….work on someone’s feet??!!! YUCK!!

UGH…..
Scraping the dry, dead skin off the bottom of another person’s feet—yep, that is love. Well, at least that is love in my family, between my mom and dad. That’s what he actually did for her a few nights ago. I am not even kidding. He had her soak her feet, and then used some sort of foot tool to ‘shave’ the dry, dead skin off the bottom of her feet. My gag reflexes were going, let me tell you.

Dad worked on mom’s feet, which he affectionately refers to as her “hobbit’s feet”…. and they really do kinda resemble the foot of a hobbit, minus the hair.. ;) She is probably going to kill me for talking about her feet….

I guess in some weird….alternate universe kind of way…. it is kinda sweet. I mean, he did it because she asked. He could have said, “ew, gross, no!!” And after he is done ‘working on her feet’, he scrubs them with good smelling foot scrub and washes them and puts lotion on them. So I guess it’s basically a pedicure without the toenail painting. It’s a selfless act for her. He does do it because he loves her….

I am just NOT a foot person. I don’t like my own feet, let alone another person’s [even if they are family]! EW!

By the way that is gross!!!!!!!

You know what is funny is your mom seemed in an exceptionally good mood yesterday and today and now I know why!!!!!!!!!

It is amazing how love languages work… I mean stinking amazing!!!!! As gross as that is to us normal people, it may very well be THE most powerful way your father communicates his love for her!!!!!!! And it works!!!

I am in awe of the power people have over people in relationships!! It is amazing to me… One touch, one word, a glance, a smile!!! WOW amazing and scary and I mean scary!! Because I also get the privilege of seeing when that thing is missing!!!!!!! The presence of X is incredibly powerful, but even more so is the absence of X!!!

She has told me before that she LOVES for someone to pamper her feet! So, if you don't wanna do it, get her a pedicure for a gift whenever the next occassion arises. You'll score serious brownie points!!
