Headless Chicken Day

Bagaaaak! Bagaaak! Bagaaaaaaak! I feel like I have been running around like a 'chicken with its head cut off' this morning [don't you just love that country vernacular, HA!]. :P

It has been a Monday and a half around my office this morning[even though it is a Tuesday]! I am the only assistant here today, which means I am Captain Do Everything Girl [tadaaa!!! :) I have a theme song, too, if you want to hear it....doooduddoooduh didditly doo ;)] One lady is off today, and the other one.....well, she is gone forever. Her last day was Thursday. And until we hire someone else, me, myself, and I will be responsible for the majority of her duties. So....my duties + her duties + a "Monday on Tuesday"= a little bit more STRESS than I am normally used to. :)

Oh, and.... add to that equation a scheduled power outage from 9-10 this morning [thank you, SWEPCO]. Yep. That meant no server....no computer....nada! Which meant that I was in a frenzy trying to get certain critical tasks completed before the 9 am deadline [actually, I think they shut down the servers at 8:45, which threw me for a loop and soured my attitude a bit towards a certain department ;P when I tried to send some final information out at 8:50...grrrr....]. Then, throw in our Hispanic mission church pastor who I called muchos times in order to get his weekly attendance numbers.....and when I did finally reach him, he tells me.... and I quote, "I call you them later"....which he DIDN'T.....I had to call him back twice before I got them.... anyway, it definitely made for a headless chicken morning for me.....

Bagaaak! Bagaaak! Bagaaaaaaak! :Q) This chicken's returning to the barnyard in search of her missing head. [yuck....I just got a mental image....ew.] :P Least I still got my....humor..... heeeheee!
