Howard Shore Helps My Productivity, and Red Converses Make Me Happy [How's that for a title??]
It’s a LOTR soundtrack day. I have noticed that whenever I listen to those soundtracks while at work, I really become productive. I am able to focus and tune out everything and everyone around me [he he he…not a bad thing sometimes ;)]. I also start working at a frenzied pace, and sometimes get a little stressed out on a few songs. Some of the song are INTENSE! So now, whenever I really want to get a lot done, I just load it up on my pc, turn up the volume, put on my headphones, and…..voila!-- Instant Super Speedy Mode. I get a ton done without even realizing it. :D I sort of had an unproductive day yesterday [constant interruptions], so hopefully I can make up for it today, with the help of
Random time: I have to share about the cute little old man I saw yesterday. I was driving up the bypass on my way up to Centerton to hang out with my friend Sarah, when I came upon this cute little old man with a bushy white mustache riding a vintage looking Harley. Watching him made me smile and chuckle. His helmet was one of those retro half helmet things with the chin strap, and the rest of his ensemble consisted of a biker t-shirt, cut off jean shorts, and…..wait for it…..red hightop converse tennis shoes. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention his leather fingerless gloves. I LOVED IT!!! :) It was great!! If only I had had my camera, I could’ve snapped a shot and posted it. But what made me smile most was the look on his face. He was glowing with this look of contentment and joy! It made me smile. :) And even though we was on the bypass and there was that large grassy median separating our lane from the southbound lane, he still did the ‘one handed wave’ that I have noticed bikers exchange when they meet each other on a highway. He looked like he was having a great time cruising on his ride, and it made me happy watching him be all happy.
That’s all I have. :)
3 Sagacious Sayings:
You find the exact same look on little boys when they are playing with their toys!
About Howard Shore... Man, I agree. I get lots done when listening to his stuff. I have to say, though, that John Williams also gets me motivated to get stuff done. I will have to try the headphone technique. The only problem is being able to hear the phone...
g4g: boys and their toys...sigh.... ;P
dave: I have to still be able to hear the phone too, so I either use only one headphone, or turn down the volume just enough to hear the phone ring...
