Absolutely Nothing

I am sitting here in my office, keyboard in my lap, my pc sitting on top of a filing cabinet. I am doing absolutely nothing except waiting for the phone to ring. Literally. Oops, there it goes! Gotta answer it.....

No, I am not trying not to work, nor do I enjoy not being able to do anything at the moment. The thing is, I am supposed to get a new desk this afternoon. It won't show up for another hour and a half. This morning, I had to pack up and clean off my old desk in preparation for this delivery. I was doing ok and able to work until the maintenence guys came to take away my old desk right after lunch. Which caused me to be rather displaced. I just now was able to get my pc set up and going. I am unable to work at my co-worker's desk [who is off on vacation] b/c I had to clean off HER desk as well b/c of the desk delivery. She is getting new office furniture as well. Actually, she is the one getting the new desk. I am not getting a new desk. I am getting pieces of her old desk, and she is getting a new desk piece to go with the remaining pieces of her old desk. The only new piece of furniture I am really getting today is a filing cabinet that matches my "new" desk.

I know this sounds like I am getting a raw deal, but I'm not. Its actually a really good and cost effective arrangement. I am getting a nice desk. And my co-worker and I will no longer bump chairs in our tiny office that is built for one person but has 2 1/2 people working in it. So all that said, that is the reason for this really boring post. It keeps me from getting bored. And it keeps my mind off the large amount of work I really needed to do today, work that must be done before I am off on Friday. Sheesh. Oh well. At least I have tomorrow.... :)

UPDATE 3:55 pm: THEY ARE NOT COMING TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some truck problem or something..... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
