Rollin' in the BDT

I spent my morning working hard again. I had to load 5 plastic boxes and 5 cardboard boxes full of flashlights up to take to Pinnacle Hills to our North location. Yes, I loaded them by myself. Do I have a sign on my forehead that says "Built For Hard Labor"? Its either that or else I have a problem in asking for help. ...Um, actually it probably is that....'cause I didn't think to do so. I just never want to bother anyone....... :P

My travels up "North", as we down here on the "main campus" like to call our Pinnacle Hills location, allowed me to experience a church vehicle like no other. I got to take a ride in the BDT. BDT, as far as I understand, stands for Big Dang Truck, named so by those in charge of transportation stuff here at church [at least I hope the 'D' refers to that and not the other 'D' word.....I mean we are a church!] And boy, is it ever a BIG DANG TRUCK. I am talking a full blown quad-cab-with-a-full-bed FARM TRUCK [it even comes with that 'fresh cut hay' smell inside....]. So here I am, dressed ethnically, if not eclectically, in a pants and tunic outfit from India [called a punjabi], driving down 540 in this big, white beast of a farm truck, loaded down with boxes. The driver's seat rocks a bit from side to side, the steering is loose, and you have to stomp the gas and brake to make anything happen. Oh what fun it is to ride....

I have been initiated into the BDT Club. My official membership packet is to arrive soon...

You have worked hard. You deserve an ice cold Root Beer, maybe even two.

Heck yes I do! But I think this week is worthy of an entire 4 pack of root beer, Stewart's, of course, and icy cold! :)

I grew up driving nothing but BDT's - I guess that's why I clung to driving a car for so long. I still love my SUV though - big, but not; and there's no DT to it either. Ha!

I know!! I miss Zippy Fun Car. Zippy is no more. The parentals gave it to a young minister here at church, and he is trying to sell it.
